Shi Jun is currently working on quantifying forest biomass loss from forest to cropland conversion, and aims to produce distribution maps of key commodity crops to facilitate food security and environmental assessments. Before arriving at UMD, he completed a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Earth Systems Science from Nanyang Technological University Singapore (2023).
